While floor plans are helpful we believe that the space layout for your centre needs to take many factors into consideration, such as lighting, sun direction, room orientation, centre flow, window placements etc. We can assist with MOE minimum requirements, and provide furniture lists based on centre size and licensing numbers. Depending on location we are more than happy to meet onsite, if location does not permit onsite visits no matter how many phone calls or emails it takes we will ensure you have all the information you need to proceed.

The Ministry of Education offer recommendations of the types of furniture required for operating an Early Childhood centre in NZ. We can assist with providing a list of furniture for your new or existing centre based on these recommendations.

Starex furniture is specifically built to last the ‘test of time’ in the Early Childhood industry, therefore all of our furniture is fully assembled and ready to use the moment it is delivered.

Starex does not manufacture flat packed furniture.

We build our furniture to stand the test of time as we understand the Early Childhood industry is a tough environment. We have a reputation for manufacturing quality long lasting products and if there is an issue with workmanship or faulty materials we will make it right. If you have any concerns about your Starex product please contact us.

We pride ourselves in the fact that all of our furniture is 100% NZ made in our factory at Mount Maunganui, we have total control of all materials used and source locally and through NZ suppliers.

Yes, however Starex uses reputable freight companies who offer very competitive rates. They blanket all of our furniture to minimise damages.

If you wish to arrange your own freight Starex will take no responsibility for any damage from point of collection.

Yes, although we don’t have a showroom there is always something to see in our factory, we welcome visitors anytime. Please contact us to make a time so we can arrange for someone to show you around. We are very proud of our NZ made products, and our wonderful staff who make them.

Consider the impossible!
Thanks Starex for the wonderful furniture and shelving units. The whole process from onsite visit, design and delivery was done efficiently. Everyone turned up on time, did as they said they were going to and delivered when needed. It made this part of refurbishing the centre easy and stress free. Communication was great, even when we were wanting delivery straight after Christmas! Would heartily recommend the Starex team. The designs are well thought out and their ideas were well thought through. They thought of things we hadn't even considered or thought possible.

Committed to Resourcing our Kindergarten from Local Businesses
When we were establishing Wairakei Kindergarten we were committed to resourcing our kindergarten from local businesses. Starex have a wonderful reputation for their personal approach and working with people to produce quality products that meet their individual requirements. This proved to be true. We are situated on the coast and wanted to reflect a coastal feel in our kindergarten, we had researched what we wanted and Starex worked with us to produce just the look we dreamed of having. Amazing ideas
We are so pleased with our furniture designed and produced by Starex. The staff were very accommodating by having numerous design meetings and offering samples and ideas that were amazing! The quality of the furniture is of such a high standard and looks fantastic in our Montessori preschool. The staff are very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. I would highly recommend Starex for preschool furniture, both indoor and outdoor.
