Working with Jay was a great experience; she came in with a clear vision for the designs she liked and the materials that worked in her environment.
Her brief was clear. She wanted a wall divider made up of multiple sections each containing their own function, and working as one when viewed in place. What a fantastic design challenge!
Birch was her first choice of material, and using this as the canvas for the pieces allowed the design team to accent it with colours that matched.
Each piece of the wall was designed to be unique to itself but also work with the other units next to it. Both sides of the wall were used for different functions as space is always an issue in any ECE centre.
Jay responded really well to design suggestions, and we were able to explore different design elements together like the reversable mirror covers for the tunnel seat.
We loved the way this project came together; being able to stretch our design minds, and seeing it in use is truly rewarding.
Jay was decisive, collaborative and had a great understanding of the ECE industry – we are really looking forward to working with Jay again in the near future. – Dan, Elinor & The Starex team
